The Client: Fort Worth's famed Colonial Country Club and premier sponsor Bank of America produce one of the most prized events on the PGA Tour - the Bank of America Colonial. In May of every year since 1946, the golf course dubbed "Hogan's Alley" has played host to the world's greatest golfers. Past winners include great golfers of the past such as Ben Hogan, Sam Snead, Arnold Palmer, Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus to the stars of today such as Phil Mickelson and Sergio Garcia.

The Objective: The Bank of America Colonial sought to improve sales of event tickets by providing online ticket purchasing for the upcoming 2006 event. The online experience needed to not only be easy for users to complete their purchase, but also provide a robust back-end system for tournament personnel to manage and fulfill orders. Secondly, the Colonial wanted to develop a more efficient means to process the multitudes of official press credential requests submitted by press from all over the world. Finally, the Colonial wanted to site to educate tournament visitors and the community at large on the historical significance of the golf tournament.

The Solution: The Enilon Group designed and developed the official tournament website for the 2006 event. Included in the website is a fully functional ticketing and ecommerce system. Site users are able to easily purchase daily and full tournament passes through the site. All orders will be processed in real-time through the Bank of America payment gateway. Colonial Tournament staff has their own back-end system to aid in the fulfillment of individual orders. The order management module will also aid tournament organizers in future marketing efforts.

A secure media credentialing application was also developed to allow media from all over the world submit their request for official tournament press credentials online, providing the tournament organizers with the much needed automation they had lacked in the past.
